PETALING JAYA: Performing arts group Rumah Anak Teater has said the Communication and Multimedia Ministry is not making any effort in portraying the country’s actual history.
“The Communication and Multimedia Ministry is found to be two-faced in determining the type of historical plays that are allowed to be staged,” it said today.
The ministry through the Central Agency Committee for Application of Filming And Performance by Foreign Artistes (JK-Puspal), in its written parliamentary reply to Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian, said the Merdekanya Kita play was banned on the grounds of touching on the sensitivity of the rakyat from political and social aspects.
