KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 10, 2010): Actor cum director Nam Ron is incensed that 'Tanda', his stage production's six-day run at the Theatre Experiment at the National Culture and Heritage Academy (Aswara) was cut short by the art institute recently.
The play, which was produced by theatre group Rumah Anak Teater (RAT) that he co-founded in 2008, started its run on Feb 2 to a packed house.

But on Feb 5, the production team were ordered to leave the premises as Aswara officials claimed that Nam Ron, whose real name is Shahili Abdan, had failed to get the proper approvals from the institute.

Nam Ron however, disputes this.

"Apparently they said I didn’t follow the proper procedures to get the authorisation to showcase the production at their theatre venue," he told theSun.

"But as far as I know I had followed the rules and regulations. I even reconfirmed twice (with the institute officials) just to make sure I have the proper authorisation letter.
